image Old Time Collection of Mint Straits Settlements, 1892-1938, a lovely collection displaying rich and vibrant colours not often seen in these issues. The collection consists of roughly 170 stamps (including a few used and never hinged), on hand written old style quadrille pages. The collection begins with a small selection of mint and used Victorian issues, with primarily mint onward. A few of the highlights include Scott #s: 93/103 (#103 n.h., c.v. $251 total), 105-108 (c.v. $86 total), 109/134 (c.v. $585 total), 179/201 (#201 n.h., c.v. $215 total), 217-234 (#230-234 n.h., c.v. $243 total), 238/252 (c.v. $195 total). All pages scanned online. A cursory check indicated stamps are lightly hinged onto pages, leaving a few with little to no hinge traces once removed. A visually stunning collection, overall fine to very fine. From the estate of a collector who stopped collecting during World War II, and whose albums have not been opened until now. (Image)
