image Accumulation of Mint Straits Settlements, 1922-1948, consisting of a few hundred single stamps and blocks (including a few with plate numbers), primarily ranging from Scott #151d/271, on various album and Vario-style pages. We note different die types in the 1937-1948 issues, including a block of four of the $5 B M A overprint (c.v. $290), along with an interesting grouping of the 1922 Malaya Borneo Exhibition, including a selection of printing errors and flaws which are listed in Stanley Gibbons with at least £170 in catalogue value (we note "Small second A in Malaya", and "Missing Period", etc.). The lot includes two presentation folders from the 1947 Paris Universal Postal Congress. A spot check showed mostly mint hinged stamps (closer inspection could yield more never hinged material), along with some small faults, hinge remnants, and gum toning. Online photos show a sampling. Overall fine to very fine (Image)
