Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used North Borneo and Area, 1869--1950s, including Sarawak, Labuan and Brunei, consisting of over 800 stamps, including Semi-Postals and Postage Dues, in a stockbook. A cursory check of stamps indicated roughly 400 mint and used North Borneo, ranging from Scott #25/293, including mint imperforate blocks of 4 with Scott #s: 36, 39, 42-43 and imperforate gutter blocks of 8 with Scott #s:35, 36, 38, 39, 40, 42 (S.G., c.v. £1,400 total if genuine), along with Scott #136a-153c (m.h., c.v. $234 total), #J50, 52 (used , c.v. $230 total). The lot continues with mint and used Sarawak, ranging from Scott #1/211, with a cursory check indicating strength in pre-1930 stamps including Scott #s: 1 (x2, c.v. $120 total), 8-19 (18 x2, m.h., c.v. $622 total), 24 (m.h., c.v. $350). The collection concludes with a selection of mint and used Labuan, ranging from Scott #4/118 including Scott #s: 23 (m.h., c.v. $125), 33-39 (used, c.v. $137 total), 99A-109 (m.h., c.v. $98 total), along with mint and used Brunei, with sets and partial sets ranging from $20 to $100. An interesting lot with potential finds for the specialist, with additional stamps and sets cataloguing $20 and up, and note a few better c.d.s. postmarks. Online scans show a representation of the lot. We note small faults with some of the early stamps, along with a few mint no gum and hinge remnants. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
