Collection of Mint North Borneo, 1886-1961, consisting of roughly 250 stamps, fine Vario-style stock pages and cards. We note a range of stamps from primarily Scott #26/293, including #84 (x2, c.v. $115 total), 86 (c.v. $160) and set 74-78 (74 x2, c.v. $216 total). The collection also includes a stock card of back of the book material, primarily 1918 Red cross issues, ranging from B31-B41. A spot check revealed a few small faults, hinged stamps (some lightly hinged, few HR), along with some of the early stamps having toning spots on the gum. Duplication is light up to KGVI with duplication up to 10 post 1950. Catalogue values, along with identification notations, provided by the owner. Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Primarily Used North Borneo, 1883-1963, consisting of roughly 850 stamps (including back of the book material), all housed in Vario-style stock pages or cards. The collection begins with a small selection of early issues mint and used, with Scott #s: 1-3, 4 (used, c.v. $210), 10-13, 15 (used, c.v. $150), and continues with a better run of issues with #25/58 (50-51 used, c.v. $245 total, 58 mint no gum, c.v. $185), and includes sets and partial sets from #59/266 (includes 91/102 c.v. $240 total). The back of the book material includes mint and used Red Cross Semi-Postals, ranging from B13/B43 (B13 used, c.v. $425) and mint and used Postage Dues, ranging from J1/J54 (40 stamps in total, J50-J54 appear to have C.T.O. cancels and not included in catalogue total). The lot concludes with 7 pages of owner's used accumulated duplicates (owner's catalogue value $1,325). We note a few faults in the early issues (small tear #2). Spot check of mint show the majority of hinged stamps, with a majority of used stamps having 5 bar oval C.T.O. cancels, along with some c.d.s. postmarks. Catalogue value and identification notations supplied by the owner. A good lot for the Commonwealth specialist. All pages of the collection scanned, along with a representation of the accumulation. Accumulation of Mint North Borneo, 1886-1961, consisting of a few hundred stamps on several Vario-style black stock pages. The pages are somewhat disorganized but we note strength with issues ranging from Scott #59 onward including #s: 83 (x2, c.v. $250 total); 86 (x2, c.v. $240 total); 89 (c.v. $135), 120-121 (c.v. $280 total); 147 (x3, c.v. $360 total), along with an accumulation of 1922 Malaya Borneo Exhibition stamps (c.v. $1,507), and sets 208-237 (c.v. $200); 261-275 (c.v. $84). We note a few Semi-Postals and Postage Dues, along with 4 Specimen stamps (Scott #s: 87-88, 131, 147). A spot check indicates mostly mint hinged material and catalogued as such, along with a few stamps having gum toning and hinge remnants. Online scans show some of the better pages of the lot.
