image Quality Collection of Mint and Never Hinged Mauritius, 1849-1996, housed in two stockbooks, consisting of singles and partial sets in the Victorian era, and continues with complete sets from Edwards VII onward. The collection begins with a few examples of pre-1876 Victorian issues with Scott #s: 7 (x2), 8 (x8 including a pair), 10 (x4), 19 (c.v. $65), 33 (c.v. $65), 41 (cancelled overprint, c.v. $130), with the strength of the Victorian issues post 1876, with Scott #s: 41/127 (103 stamps and includes higher values #76 (c.v. $180), 124-126 (c.v. $212 total). The collection continues with full sets: 137-151 (includes 142a, c.v. $316 total), 161-178 (c.v. $70 total), along with partial sets of King George V issues (including both die types). The collection continues with a mixture of mint hinged and never hinged post 1935, with never hinged in the Elizabethan era. The collection also includes 3 reprints of 1847-1848 stamps. Spot check showed most hinged stamps are lightly hinged, with few having gum issues. Catalogue value up to 1965 only. The colours of the stamps are fresh and vibrant, which collectors will appreciate. Online photos show a representation of the lot. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

image Accumulation of Mint and Used Mauritius, All Reigns, containing many hundreds of primarily mint stamps in an assortment of 2-row dealer cards, 102 cards, Vario-style pages and Mauritius post office packets. The lot begins with Scott #14Bd worn impression, accompanied with a Philatelic Foundation certificate from 1975 (c.v. $850), along with a good selection of mint Queen Victoria, with mostly issues post 1863, including Scott #s: 32-33, 35, 41 (x2) (m.h., c.v. $465 total), and continues with a good selection of post 1876 overprints and regular issues, with many cataloguing $10 and up. The group continues with about 20x 2-row dealer cards, containing mint sets and partial sets of Edward VII onward, including a few 5R and 10R higher values, along with dealer 102 cards of Elizabethan sets, with a few cards retailing $20 and up. The used includes primarily Queen Victoria to King George V issues in an assortment of dealer cards and stock pages, unchecked for better postmarks etc. This quality group rounds out with modern mint issues (appears to be post 2000), sent in packets from the Mauritius post office. A spot check indicates primarily mint hinged with a few having gum issues. A quality lot for the specialist or dealer looking for stock. image Mint and Used Collection, 1858 to the 1980s, on older album pages in a binder. We estimate this collection to be over 70% complete in period and it includes #s 62 (mint c.v. $180), 159 (used c.v. $180) plus many more. The collection is over half mint and there is significant value in stamps stacked up in some of the mounts. Included are extra varieties, like 'cancelled' overprints, inverted watermarks as well as shades. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
