Collection of Mint and Used Hong Kong, 1862-1997, consisting of several hundreds of stamps in two stockbooks. The collection has a good representation of Victorian issues including Scott #s: 2, 3, 4 (x2), 5 (c.v. $460 total) with representation of 1863 to 1880 issues, including Scott #24 (x2, c.v. $180 total), along with a selection of used overprints with some cataloguing $10 and up. The collection moves into mint and used Edwards, George V and VI issues including Scott #s: 102 (m.h., c.v. $60), 121 (used, c.v. $90), 122 (used, c.v. $155), 129-138 (m.h., c.v. $203 total), 147-150 (x2, m.h., c.v. $145 total), 179 (used, c.v. $105), as well as sets and a few souvenir sheets cataloguing $20 and up through 1997. An interesting lot for the specialist as our online scans show a representation of the lot. We note a few small faults with the early stamps, along with a few mint stamps having no gum. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
