image LEEDS a fine (90%) despatch strike B 3 / 10 DE / 79 on an illustrated wrapper mailed to Seeds, with an Chapel-Alberton same day receiver on back. Quite a lovely illustration of a Typesetter at work, with several faults, including a crease on the ½d rose QV stamp (Plate 13), still a desirable item. All 1879 GB squared circle strikes are rare and as the Handbook says "are quite coveted by collectors, these being only possible to find in three offices: Leeds, Liverpool and London E.C.". (Image)

Missing backflap, still a very nice example of this rare Birkenhead Branch Office hammer. (Image)
