This collection is a mix of mint hinged and never hinged stamps plus used, in which we have totaled the mint only to a value of £434. 1st values were counted as £0,95 and 2nd were counted as £0,68, and Machin stamps were not added into the total. Among the mint stamps are some higher cataloguing items, such as, a few prestige booklets and greeting stamp booklets. There is also a reasonable used collection included. image Accumulation of Primarily Used Great Britain, 1841-1990, consisting of a few thousand stamps in a 64 page stockbook. We note roughly 5 pages of Victorian issues including a few imperforate Penny Reds along with Scott #s: 20 (x11), 27, 28, 29 (x5), 32, 33 (x14), 44 (x2), 55, 59 (x2) , and continues with accumulations of used Jubilee issues, up to the early 1990s. The lot also contains a binder (with slipcase) with stamps in hingeless mounts, consisting of used material ranging from 1841 to the 1950s, and continues with a mixture of mint and used up to the 1980s. image Pre-Decimal Issue Collection in a Lighthouse Hingeless Album, 1841-1970, Victoria issues are all used, Edward VII to George VI are mostly used, with some mint hinged. Elizabeth II material is mostly mint, with a mix of hinged and never hinged. Better used includes #s 15, 33 (plates 71-211, missing plates 77, 88, 132, 133, 188 and 209), 58 (all plates except #9), 53, 55, 64, 94, 95, 96 (x2), 108 (x2). Numbers 96 and 108 have very fine centering with the margins clear of the design on all sides and overall condition is fine to very fine. Noted the odd stamp with major faults which were not counted in our catalogue value. A nice collection, many pages scanned online. (Image)

The face value for the collection totaled £1,409 (counting 22p and up, the majority ranging above 37p, and includes 723x 1ST counted at 95p and 87x 2ND counted at 68p).
