Collection of Mint Falkland Islands, 1886-1978, with a few hundred, mostly hinged stamps in hingeless black mounts on quadrille pages. The collection begins with a small selection of mint Queen Victoria with Scott #s: 6, 7 (used), 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 21 (c.v. $569 total), along with a small selection of mint Edward VII issues including #48 (c.v. $100). The lot continues with mint stamps ranging from #65/274, of note, #84-96 (missing #93, 95, c.v $221), 100 (c.v. $110), 107-120 (c.v. $200), 128-142 ($185). The collection concludes with mint King George VI issues from Graham Land, South Georgia, South Orkneys and South Shetlands, (2L1/5L8, c.v. $100 total), and a selection Falkland Island Dependencies including mint #1L19-1L33 (missing 1L29-1L30, c.v. $201). Falkland Islands, Dependencies and South Georgia, Mint and Used Collections, 1878 to 2003, on older album pages in a binder, which is quite strong from Victoria through George VI. This is a valuable collection and includes numerous better issues. There is often a mint and a used example for the same issue. There is also additional material tucked in throughout and at the end of the collection. The Falkland Islands Dependencies portion is mostly mint and is near complete from 1944 to 1981. The South Georgia is mostly mint and is a little over half complete from 1963 to 1986. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
