ASHBURTON - RARE 1st-TYPE STRAIGHT LINE MARK WITH JOINED "...SHB..." LETTERING; 1716 E (pencil date which fits with known usage of this mark) charged "4[d]" to London (rate from 1711 to 1765) with 90% complete rare "ASHBURTON" mark (DN5; previously only recorded 1713-5) - having the letters "SHB" joined - with a large part "21[?]/IA" London arrival Bishop Mark.
