Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used Cape of Good Hope, 1864-1899, containing roughly 150 stamps in three 10-row white stockbook pages. The lot has strength in a mint and used assortment of "Hope" and Symbols of Colony stamps, with a cursory check noting Scott #s 16 (m.h., c.v. $130), 17 (m.h., c.v. $210), 29 (m.h., c.v. $200), 162 Mafeking overprint (m.h., c.v. $325 if genuine), N1 (m.h., c.v. $240). The lot also includes mint and used Edward VII stamps, with a few cataloguing $20 and up. A good lot for the specialist and dealers with online scans showing all the pages. We note a few small faults including a few mint no gum and a few with hinge remnants. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
