MALPAS: 1815-1958 set of ELs, envs. & postcards mounted on written-up pages inc. an 1831 E addressed to London rated '11'[d] with a very fine boxed "Malpas" (receiving house) namestamp on reverse; an 1833 E addressed to London with ms 'P1/11'[d] (double rate) in red indicating pre-payment and with very fine boxed "Malpas" (receiving house) namestamp on reverse; an 1839 turned cover (E) addressed to Westminster and rated '11'[d] with a similar "Malpas" namestamp on reverse and a mainly fine "Chester/Penny Post" (only in use 1838-39) on front and similar but finer strike on the inside; plus other items with boxed namestamps (inc. 1d red covers), cds's, duplex, and Skeleton postmarks.
