WORLDWIDE POSTAL HISTORY AMASSMENT. a wonderful collection of covers and postal stationery housed in four volumes, with over 1000 items from the 19th century onwards, the vast majority being pre-1960 with some outstanding material present; we note China 1912 Nanking overprint 4c on color postcard of Chinese Funeral, Shanghai, with postage due markings, Straits Settlements KG V 10c registration envelope with additional 8c purple on blue pair, Italy incl. Victor Emmanuel embossed 15c imperf and 1926 2.50L single usages, then a most interesting 19th century correspondence with Austria, Austria/Trieste, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, France, Russia, excellent Switzerland including key sitting Helvetia 3c black (2), as well as Italy multiple frankings, all to the same addressee; the main strength however is in the Germany, including postal stationery from the States through to Third Reich, organised denomination by denomination with a spectacular range of frankings, many illustrated cards from the early 20th century onwards and Third Reich propaganda with scarce types, as well as choice covers incl. Bremen catapult cover and Freistaat Bayern 50pf franking made up of over a dozen stamps, both to the same recipient, interesting large inflation frankings, lots of FDCs from the 1930s onwards, zeppelins incl. 1928 2mk on charming herbstwocke illustrated card, important SBZs and Allied occupations, black Berlin ovpts to 2mk, helpers sets, everything is here for a reason with interesting details everywhere you look, for example the Ukraine 12pf Hitler head on official cover with the corners of the stamp lifted by the censor. This is a most enjoyable and exciting viewing, highly recommended. A no brainer at our low valuation of under $4 each - there are plenty of $50-$100+ items here and $10-$20+ covers abound.

WORLD WAR II CENSORED COVER ACCUMULATION Accumulation of about 170 mostly World War II Censored covers, though we did note a handfull of World War I Censored and even a Catapult Flight cover. One of the WWII covers is a Japanese origin that was detained until hostilities ended and there are about six WWI Censored. Although there are some United States Military Censored covers, the vast majority are foreign. Notably, there are two major groups: Latin America and British Commonwealth, especially British Carribean. In "third place" is a smaller group of European covers including some postwar Civil Censor covers from Austria and Germany. A fascinating assortment.
