image Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used British Guiana, 1862-1966, consisting of many hundreds of stamps, in album pages and two stockbooks. The lot begins with 20 album pages that include roughly 80, primarily used, Seal of the Colony issues, ranging from 1862 to 1903, with a spot check indicating Scott # 82 (m.h., $52), 104-106 (used, $160 total), 123 (m.h., $85), along with stamps and sets cataloguing $20 and up, including 158a,c (m.h., $100 total), 178-189 (m.h., #184 used, $194 total),191-201 (m.h, #192 used, $123 total), 210-22 (m.h., $174 total). The lot also includes an album of mint and used Guyana, ranging from 1966-1970, with emphasis on the Independence issues and concludes with a stockbook of mint hinged #231 (roughly 120, mostly stuck down on the pages), with sheet serial numbers in the selvedge, along with loose material in glassines and mounts. The owner identifies a few varieties, postmarks, and perforation types, with the potential for more finds by the specialist. Online scans show a representation of the lot. We note small faults with the early issues, along with toned gum on the mint stamps, and some with hinge remnants. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

The lot begins a selection of 1860-1876 mint and used Seal of the Colony issues, including Scott #s 23 (m.h., c.v. $975), 31 (used, c.v. $97), 45 (m.h., c.v. $80), 79 (used, c.v. $50), and continues with mint and and used, including sets and partial sets cataloguing $20 and up, including Scott #210-222 (m.h., c.v. $174 total), #230-241 (mint and used set, c.v. $115 total). The lot also includes a small representation of mint and used Guyana. A good lot for the specialist with all pages scanned online. We note a few small faults including a few mint no gum and a few with hinge remnants. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
