Sparks Auctions Sale: 47

Great Britain and British Commonwealth
Bahamas

Sale No: 47
Lot No: 1117
Symbol: O/*
Cat No: Collections

image Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used Bahamas, 1859-1980s, containing roughly 600 stamps in fifteen 9-row black stock pages. The lot begins with classic Victorian stamps including Scott #s: 1 (used, AO5 postmark, used for Post Offices Abroad on Great Britain stamps, c.v. $1,900, if genuine), 7 (used, c.v. $550), 14 (x3, used, c.v. $255 total), 16 (x23, used, c.v. $460 total), 18 (x4, used, c.v. $200 total), 32 (used, c.v. $275). The lot continues with Edwards, George V and VI, and Elizabethan mint and used stamps, sets, and partial sets, including Scott #84 (used, c.v. $425), along with material cataloguing $20 and up. A good lot for potential finds by the specialist or dealer as stamps were catalogued at the lowest value. The first 8 pages are scanned online. We note a few small faults with the early material, including a few mint no gum. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
