DDR and Soviet Zones of Occupation Mint and Used Collection to about 1960, with souvenir sheets and sheets and part-sheets of booklet panes. We noted a mint never hinged set of 4 Karl Marx souvenir sheets (Sc 144a and 146a, both perforated and imperforate (c.v. $480), mint never hinged DDR Sc 122-136 (c.v. $271), two sheets of 9 booklet panes each of Sc 188a and 188b, some separation, (c.v. $432 for the booklet panes only, not as complete sheets). Also included are Thuringia Sc 16N9 and 16N9f in both mint never hinged and used (c.v. $268, 16N9f used has toned gum) and more. A high value lot, very fine, except as noted. (Image)

The collection includes stamps not listed in Scott including, 1973 Spenden Marke (never hinged, Michel #s 1 and 2), along with Scott #B21a (used, c.v. $110), 144a (m.h., c.v. $120), 146a (m.h., c.v. $120), 264a (m.h., c.v. $60). Near Complete Mint Collection to 1961, in an old-style Lindner hingeless album. We only checked a sample but found almost all we checked were never hinged, such as the Goethe souvenir sheet Scott B11 (c.v. $140, only the stamp is gummed, as issued), Sc 122-136 (c.v. $271), 155-171 (c.v. $112), 187-204 (c.v. $185).
