Very colorful group of this fascinating period with a large variety of examples of the issues issued right by and after the Allied occupation. Includes Numeral issues, Soviet Zone issues, French Zone issues, American and British Zone issues, Joint issues, Posthorn Overprints, early Berlin overprints, early DDR and Notopfer surtax issues and Building issues. There are covers with mixed franking of these issues. Includes many multiples on cover, uprated postal cards Registered, Express mail, civil censors, and COD cards. Most items are non-philatelic. Destinations are mostly domestic, European and to the US, did see some to Australia and Canada. Great variety of cancels including some illustrated special event cancels and slogan cancels. Quality is Fine-Very Fine with minimal quality concerns.
