Fr./Pointe-a-Pitre/25 Juin 75" sorting transit on the reverse and carried by French packet which only required 50c, thus overpaid by 20c, neat blue St. Nazaire entry transit and backstamped Paris, extremely fine; a gorgeous and rare cover from this small village excelling in all of its aspects from its remarkably choice quality to its unusual overpaid usage; illustrated on page 60 of Robert Stone's book; ex-Grabowski. Indo-China First and Second International Commission for Supervision and Control in Indo-China postal history collection comprised of covers and/or letters sent from or to various delegates to their home countries, the first I.C.C.S. from 1954-70 is comprised of 24 covers from the Canadian delegation, eight from Polish delegation and 44 from the Indian delegation, plus their special overprinted F.P.O. stamps and many corresponding first day covers, the second I.C.C.S, from 1973-75 is shown by 67 covers from the Canadian forces, 14 from the Hungarian delegation, 24 from the Indonesian delegation, ten from the Iranian delegation and twelve from the Polish delegation, all these with a good variety of frankings, postal marking and cachets, mostly mounted and written-up on album pages; the International Control Commission in Indo-China was the international inspectors force established in 1954 to enforce the Geneva Accords that ended the first Indo-China war; the I.C.C. goal was to keep the cease fire and to report any violations against it; the I.C.C. force comprised of inspectors from three countries, each of them supplied one-third of the personnel: Canada as representative of the Western non-communist bloc, Poland as a representative of the Eastern communist bloc and India as a representative of neutral non-aligned countries; the inspectors were posted in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos; with the signing of the Paris Accords in 1973, the I.C.C. was replaced with the I.C.C.S. and India was not a participant.
