China, Quirky Stock Selection, 1897-1950, all on identified black cards, with materials running from a ½c on 3c Dowager overprint with partial Large Dollar Dater in blue, to a 20c CIP "Specimen" overprint, several private "Republic" overprints on CIP issues, a multitude of internal surcharge Sun Yat-sens from singles to a block of ten; full offsets on reverse, part-perforated items, surcharge varieties and plate flaws; a Manchuria ½c Junk Postage Due Provisional, a 1949 Watlam Silver issue, even Liberated Areas (#4L26-4L28 and variety) and a PRC #953, Fine to Very Fine with better, an interesting mix with a consignor-provided retail value of $6000.
