image Canada, "The Canuck Collection" Mostly Mint Collection with Extras, 1870-2009, Nine albums, the first from Harris, mostly used with all stamps hinged and light on the classics. Then, from 1969 on, the collection makes a huge transformation. An all-mint affair in eight White Ace albums with all stamps blackmounted, and except for a few here & there in the 1970s and latter part of the 90s, virtually complete. Booklets, mini-sheets, and the fact that se-tenant blocks & pairs are also assigned spaces in White Ace as singles, brings the total amount of face to an even higher level. But in actuality, this isn't just about the modern era. Three stockbooks are also part of this lot, and one of them in particular has some fantastic classics, some even in multiples. Better include used #15 (6), 24 (2), 25, 27, 40 (3), 46, 57, 60, 73, 80-84 (2), mint 58, 73, 82 (2), 90A (pair), 91, 110 (4), 112, 113 (5), 119, 122, 135, 217a, 217b, 218a, 218b, 219a, 262 (5), 302, E1, F1, O9 (2), O10, 016-25, O27, and coil pairs galore, like 123-24, 127, 129-30, 131-34, 136-38, 160-61, 205-07, 228-30, MR6-7. In addition, O.H.M.S. perfins, revenues, and some seldom-seen post office seals, OX1 (no gum), OX3, OX4, generally Fine to Very Fine, additional images viewable online. image Canada, Solid, Mainly Mint Collection, 1859-1968. A single-volume White Ace album, the 19th century issues scattered and a bit "sketchy" through the Small Queens, but mint and nearly complete—except for coils and Officials, for which the White Ace album does not put spaces—from #46 onward. The Victoria Jubilees only go to the 50¢ (5¢, 8¢ & 50¢ no gum), and other notable missing stamps are #83 & 101; also the 20¢ Edward VII is used and the 8¢ Registration stamp is regummed (and VF). There are also a few "bonuses" like #117 (never hinged duplicate), 130b (never hinged pair) and 157b (lightly hinged). image Canadian Provinces, Outstanding Mint and Used Collection, 1851-1947. A solid collection balance in a White Ace album with 18 black stocksheets inserted throughout for the color, type, and perforation varieties for which White Ace doesn't put spaces (the stocksheets also include plenty of duplicates, both mint & used). Two thirds of the catalog value is in Newfoundland with highlights including (mint unless noted) #1, 5, 15A (2), 21 (used), 54, 59 (5), 77 (lightly toned), 61-74, 78-270 virtually complete (including 115-126 (3), 128 (2) and 145-159 never hinged), C2, C3 (mint & used) C3f, C3j, and C6-C18 (C12 used); also includes unused without gum #11, 26, 27, 32-34, 39 & 40 and more than 20 twentieth century imperforate pairs, most never hinged. The other Provinces include British Columbia #5 (used), 7-9, 11, New Brunswick (used) #1 (2), 2 (rebacked, F-VF appearance), and Nova Scotia (used) #4 (small thin, VF appearance) and #5 (2, one with a cleaned pen cancel, the other thinned). As for condition, all of the highlights mentioned here, unless faults are noted, are sound. The are still a few flaws scattered throughout the collection, especially in the duplicates, but overall quality is a good bit above average for a collection of this size. A marvelous lot. Shipping charges apply - weight 5.6 lbs.
