image Group of 11 Money Letters or Registered Covers, 1842 to 1907, includes 6 stampless covers, folded letters/covers from 1842 to 1857 with various rates and handstamps, two of which are ex Harrison and have his annotations, one from Wallace UC has it's postmarks inked in gold coloured ink (first we've seen) and one annotated by Harrison as being "illegally backstamped". These also have a good variety of handstamps such as MONEY LETTER, PAID, TOO LATE, REGISTERED, FORWARDED. The other 5 covers include two with F1 Registration stamps (one of those also franked strip of four 5c SQ plus 1c in 1882 and is addressed to Louis Papineau in Monte Bello) plus three various multi-issue frankings (SQ, Jubilee, Numeral, Leaf and Map). Also includes 5 registration receipts (4 from St John 1874-1876, and one from Goderich 1898) plus another 3c SQ / F2 cover front (these not counted). Overall fine or better. (Image)

image Two 1854 3d Pence Franked Money Letter Covers, first mailed AUG.18 Québec City to Toronto (next day receiver on back), franked with a very large margined red-brown 3d Beaver Imperforate (clear at left), endorsed "Money" and "Immediate", very fine. Second mailed JUN.15 Hamilton to Southampton (Owen Sound and Guelph backstamps), franked with a thin paper 3d Beaver Imperforate (tiny fault), endorsed "Money" plus "MONEY LETTER" handstamp, fine. image Group of 26 Small Queen Covers Franked with 2c or 5c Registration Stamps, 11 of the covers are franked with various shades (incl. rose carmine) of the 2c Registration stamp (1879-1889, all domestic), while 15 covers are franked with various shades of the 5c Registration stamp (1989 to 1904, all domestic except for one to the U.K. and two to the U.S.). We note various rates and frankings of Small Queens (shades, perforations), including uprated stationery, as well as some advertising covers and a wealth of postmarks, including many small towns, RPO, etc. Opening, and other faults on some (incl. some sulphuretted stamps), else an overall fine to very fine group.
