Cat No: 43, 43c, 43ii

image 1890s 6c Red Brown Small Queen from Plate A (3-dot state) with Major Re-Entries, a mint strip of four with sheet margin at left from positions 21 to 24, with the first stamp showing a "lesser 5¢ on 6¢ re-entry" (Position 21) and the last stamp showing a major re-entry with doubling in CANADA, POS, CENTS and of the design at bottom left (Position 24). Well centered with full original gum, position 24 (major-re-entry) is never hinged, others hinge-reinforced. There is a fairly serious crease across all stamps, from the production process, breaking the paper fibers on both middle stamps, still very fine appearance and an important multiple. (Image)

Cat No: 34-45

image Collection of ½c to 10c Small Queens in a Frank Godden Album, all neatly displayed by denomination, with singles, pairs (many), strips (many), blocks, shades (great variety, including early), jumbos, postmarks (great variety, including corks, squared circles, dated town cancels, and much more), a few varieties (noted a gash in 1 on a 10c). We counted ½c (x67), 1c (x291 all printings), 2c (x45 all printings), 3c (x295 all printings), 5c #38 (x53), 5c #42 (x98), 6c #39 (x12), 6c #43 (x15), 8c (x44 all printings), 10c #40 (x23), 10c #45 (x36). A very high quality collection, with each item meticulously collected for a specific attribute. Scans only show a portion and catalogue value is for least expensive variety within a denomination, and of course does not account for all the gorgeous postmarks. (Image)
