image Extensive Collection of Montréal Postmarks on Stamps and Covers / Cards, QV to Modern, includes 65 covers / postcards / stationery (19x Victoria, 14x KGV, 11x KGVI and 14x QEII), plus about 1,575 stamps, mostly off paper, arranged by catalogue number and annotated in 102 cards. Also another 22 items including unused vintage postcards, cheques, money order coupons and airmail bag tags. Based on the owner's 2018 Unitrade for fine used grading, the c.v. of the stamps alone is about $840. We note that over 300 post offices are represented, including city, street, neighborhood, suburban, "letter" postal stations (complete) and sub offices (nearly complete). Many of these offices closed long ago. There is a vast array of different postmark types here, this would be a difficult collection to duplicate. Some faults, else overall fine to very fine. (Image)
