Group of Interesting Items, with #10 in a mint never hinged strip of three (Unitrade $240), a mint hinged pair of #5 with "TWC" variety on left stamp (tiny toning spots on other stamp), an imperforate marginal pair of #6 (wrinkles and light stain), a marginal plate proof pair of the 2d prepared by Tilleard, an imperforate corner block of four of the 4d (Scott #9) issue on white paper (stain in margin), also includes a set of 10 different plate proof impressions of the 6d value in different colours. Group of Four Covers Franked with 3d Blues, all mailed from PEI to Nova Scotia (Tatamagouche, Halifax, Wolfville and Albion) all franked with a 3d blue Queen Victoria (Scott #6, three have grid cancels and one has a #13 in bars cancel). The cover to Tatamagouche has the JSLAND (instead of ISLAND) error on its stamp and is accompanied by a 1999 Philatelic Foundation certificate. Group of PEI Town Postmarks, with 32 stamps (off paper), 3 stamps (on paper), 9 postcards, and 23 covers (including 11 commercial corner covers). Almost all the items are from the Victoria era and come from tiny post offices, including "Lot Number" post offices and many of which were closed long ago. Rarity factors up to RF-D, with a wide variety of different postmarks including registration (box and oval), c.d.s., large ring, fancy cork, broken circle, duplex, etc. Overall fine or better. (Image)
