image 1862 3d blue Queen Victoria Major Misperforation, perforated 11.7, bottom sheet margin block of 10 with selvedge on three sides, mint with 9 stamps never hinged and upper right stamp lightly hinged, strongly misperforated with left column being unusually wide and other stamps normal size but with perfs strongly shifted to the right. The cover is franked with three 2d dull rose first issues plus a 3d blue 1862-65 single paying 9d. Faults described on the (pink) 2004 Greene Foundation certificate as "... {stamps} cleaned to lighten pen cancels, heavily creased along cover crease with some perforation damage", still a rare combination franking and ex. The cover is franked with a diagonally bisected 6c adhesive, tied by a very clear strike of a segmented cork (Lehr #P120, one of two recorded clear strikes). Bit of edge problems at right, still a scarce and fine cover with only 10 such bisects recorded. Ex. Martyn Cusworth (2004) and accompanied by a 2004 Greene Foundation certificate. Rsv. $950.
