image 1857 1sh Reddish Violet Heraldic Imperforate, on Watermarked Paper, used with oval grid cancel, margins range from large to cut into. The stamp shows parts of the letter S and whole letter A of the "T.H. Saunders" watermark, with a few light corner creases at bottom (only visible in fluid, and not mentioned in certificate), very good appearance, and catalogue value is for fine. Accompanied by a 2003 Greene Foundation certificate. A rare stamp. (Image)
