Collection of Town Postmarks on Cover, with about 300 covers and postcards all from the George MacManus collection. We noticed that towns are mostly organized alphabetically (from I to R) dating from the late 1800s to early 1980s, with the majority before the QEII era. Noted a lovely 1844 stampless folded letter postmarked MADAWASKA NEW BRUNSWICK mailed to Foulton, Maine at the 11½d rate, a folded letter mailed from Maine to Maitland, NS through St John, NB and other places, etc in 1853 with nice datestamps and rate markings. We noted many covers from closed offices which would be difficult to assemble. Good variety lot in mixed condition to very fine. See scan for a glimpse of the content and viewing is recommended.
