We note consular mail, postage due, military (WWI and WWII), censored mail, COD bag tags, older picture postcards, OHMS perfins, postal stationery cards, rates such as 1c printed matter, 5c overseas, etc. We also note a good amount of foreign destinations including the usual England, France, USA, but also Turkey, Finland, Czechoslovakia, Transvaal, S. Rhodesia, Colombia, Trinidad, Peru, Iran, Sweden, etc. Condition varies, with a few fronts, a correspondence is roughly opened, and there are other faults, still many fine to very fine and useful items, well worth seeing in person. image Many Hundreds of Covers and Cards Almost Filling a Banker's Box, 1890s to 1990s, covering just about every possible facet of postal history, noting O.H.M.S. covers / stamps, some Caneco FDC with letter inside, some rarely seen instructional markings such as "Please have Letter Slot made in Door", special delivery, registered, First Class, many foreign destinations (incl. many to Switzerland, Trinidad, France, Iceland, etc.), military / censored, many rates and frankings, incl. single frankings, drop letters, precancels, letter bills, c.o.d. tags, wrappers, several Northwest Territories covers, postage due (incoming and outgoing), various stationery items, lots of postmark interest with many RPO, a purple Petrolea on UPU card to England, etc., and so much more. About half of the lot is a personal correspondence (appears to be mostly non-philatelic), and we note a mix of small and larger sizes. We noted several fronts only, as well as other faults, still an overall fine to very fine group. All in all a very interesting lot, both for the collector and postal history dealer, and we highly recommend viewing this one in person. (Image)

image Group of 21 Interesting Covers and Cards from the Estate of Robert Haslewood, each item was purchased separately from Canadian auction houses and bidboards for a total of just over $1,600 and were collected for each having an interesting aspect. We note a few Field Service postcards (1916-1917), a 1955 5c Wilding cover mailed to the Philippines with postage due stamps applied, a postcard with three 1892 ASSA postmarks: Regina, Strassburg and Marieton, a cover from Reindeer Depot N.W.T., a few WWII R.C.A.F. covers, a few stampless covers, a 1909 2c Edward on a souvenir Christmas postcard to Ireland, a 1944 1c War issue on a Québec Christmas Forces greetings card to a soldier overseas. A 1912 real photo Admiral postcard showing a horse and buggy mailed to Luxembourg, an 1899 registered Map / Numeral cover from Daly Man, a 1905 Christmas Day uprated Edward stationery card to Japan, an 1883 5c Small Queen on (faulty) cover mailed Christmas Day to England and a few others. image Accumulation of over 800 Queen Elizabeth Era covers, 1953-1990s, filling a bankers box, including a few sleeved and priced covers, all mailed within Canada, noting many advertising covers (including a few illustrated), along with a variety of rates including, registration, airmail (noting a few foreign destinations including Vietnam and Iceland), Free-frankings, third class mail, A.R. cards, short paid mail, fdc's, diplomatic mail, etc. A variety of postmarks include slogan, broken circle, barrel, MOON, and directional markings, etc. A few interesting items include two Centennial era parcels (1971 and 1972) with United States Post Office Department Officially Sealed stamps with "Received in Damaged Condition" and "Received Unsealed at" markings in purple; a 1993 change of address notification card franked with $16 worth of postage; 1950 4c Wilding paying the Empire post card rate to New Zealand; a reinforced box (remarkably sent through the post office), franked with $3.15 of postage, tied with a roller postmark, along with postmarks (believed to be from 1976) at the outside bottom of the box. We note a binder of over 100 used and unused postal stationery, ranging from 1871 to the 1930s, roughly half being Victorian with Ottawa and Montreal printings. image Group of Over 250 Dog Sled and Dog Team Covers and Cards, a lifetime accumulation on the theme, consisting of many picture postcards, including many real photo, plus covers carried by dog sled, either philatelically or commercially, real photographs of dogs, sleds, races, pictures of dogs being used to pull sleds for work, such as to carry fire wood, etc., and a wealth of other material on the theme. Many of the covers have postmark interest, having passed through small northern towns, noting an 1877 registered cover from Sault au Cochon PQ with postmarks from Bersimis, Esquimaux Point and Tadoussac, as well as other covers with postmarks from Québec towns such as Mutton Bay, Blanc Sablon, Harrington Harbour, Havre St Pierre, Magpie, Gethsemani, Kegaska, Baie Johan Beetz, Riviere au Tonnerre, Godbout, Betsiamites and many more.The lot also contains three empty cover albums, some articles on dog teams, "The Pioneer and Semi-Official Air Mails of Canada 1918-1934" (Longworth-Dames), and "La Carte Postale Québecoise une aventure photographique" (Poitras).
