image Correspondence Sent to Pembina, Dakota Territory, 1880-1897, majority were mailed from the Ottawa area (Stittsville, North Gower, Millbrook, etc.) to the Eastman family (Armannella and Margaret) in Pembina, North Dakota. Includes 15 covers, 11 of which still have their lengthy and interesting letters inside. Some covers have their stamps fallen off and all are faulty to a degree. Accompanied by a copy of an article written by Donald Ecobichon in BNA Topics on these covers, plus a newspaper article by John Burnett, an other article written by Victor Willson, plus a few maps and write-ups. image Collection of Perth County Postal History, 1850s to 1940s, with 75 covers in all, neatly written-up on pages, with one cover per page and includes information such as the rate the postmarks, many have colour photocopies of the back showing routings, etc. Majority is in the Small Queen era, and we note many registered, including four 8c single frankings, a strip of four 2c franking, some free franks, one Edward cover to the UK forwarded with a 1½d KEVII, bit of advertising, postmarks such as 2-ring 41, starburst fancy. Towns included are mostly St Mary's, but also note Kurtzville, Poole, St Mary's Blanchard, Wallace, Atwood, Millbank, Shirley, Newry, Newry Station (one of two known postmarks from there, and the latest), Milverton and possibly others. image Lot of Interesting Postal History, with many different items such as an unused 1933 Regina World's Grain Exhibition Radio card, a 1994 Reader's Digest private order stationery envelope with precancelled stamp, a large (faulty) envelope mailed to Bradford UK in 1884 initially with 12x 5c Small Queens (8 remain, all faulty), a large 1980 envelope (with contents) half burned and stamped "received in damaged condition" in a plastic envelope with a Canada Post letter explaining it was damaged due to fire, etc. a group of 16 postage due covers, some with postage due stamps and includes an ambulance cover, a stampless folded letter mailed from Williamstown CW (ERD of postmark) to Bells Corners, with three different backstamps, including the ERD of Bells Corners Nepean, a free franked cover from the Deputy Postmaster in 1900, a 1c stationery drop card with octagonal "NOT CALLED FOR" in 1882, a stampless cover with scarce Ottawa Glassworks LC datestamp (SEP.3.1858 and open only 5 years), a group of 11 covers and cards collected for Automobilia (1890s to 1950s), a 2c Edward picture postcard mailed 1910 to Tasmania, about a dozen various military covers (including a nice passed for export registered cover), a 6c Small Queen on cover from Rankin ONT (ERD SEP.25.1874) to Ireland, a group of 21 cards from the Arthur Pequehnat correspondence (1894-1906), an 1891 letter bill from Cache Creek BC to Ashcroft Station BC, a turned 1938 cover from Toronto to South Africa and back, and other interesting items. image Group of 21 Admiral Covers and Cards to Foreign Destinations, including many better items such as a single 20c on registered cover to Germany (tear on back), 5c cover rate to Hong Kong, 3c cover to England, redirected to Switzerland, 3c cover to England, returned to Halifax, and back many times, 10c plum single on card to France, 6c card to Belgium, lovely 1915 small cover with single 5c to France and redirected to Cdn Red Cross in Dieppe then Boulogne, single 4c on card to Belgium, two 3c stamps on card to Finland, two 4c rate covers to England, 2c rate card to the Punjab with receiver, etc. We note many nice postmarks including International machine slogan postmarks, some stationery, etc. A nice group, overall fine to very fine, all are sleeved and reasonably priced. The other 18 items are all domestic Admiral covers with better frankings, postmarks, rates, etc., including coils, a bank tag with 12x $1 stamps plus others, a 1c yellow on an unsealed letter with nude machine, three AR cards (two with 10c brown and one with 10c blue), some illustrated advertising, a Banff Winter Sports slogan duplex, a FDC for War Tax (APR.15.1915) front only, etc. Overall nice condition (a few small faults), fine or better, and all are sleeved and reasonably priced.
