image 1843 Ogdensburg NY Ferry to Prescott UC Stampless Folded Letter, mailed Ogdensburg on DEC.20 to Prescott (DEC.20.1843 double broken circle receiver in red). There is a "Ferry 2" notation for the 2d cross-river ferriage fee. The Prescott postmaster was a US agent lawyer. Very fine. (Image)
