image Accumulation of Town Postmarks in Two Binders, 1950s Onward, in roughly 50 double sided Vario-style stock pages, primarily on piece and includes pre-1950 examples, with representation from all Provinces, Territories, and a few First Nations. We note a variety of postmarks including c.d.s., broken circle, duplex, R.P.O., military, etc, along with a few miscellaneous markings. We note a number of smaller towns (owner's inventory included in the lot), with choice material and very readable strikes. Examples include Ross River (YT), Bushel Lake (MAN), Fairford Reserve (FN), Kugluktuk (NWT). The lot also includes a stockbook of miscellaneous used stamps, with some mint and roughly $90 of modern postage (mostly 48c up to $5). An interesting lot, that could fill in the gaps for the postmark collector. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

image Large Collection of Mostly Western Town Postmarks on Stamp and Stamp on Piece, 1900 to 1970s, a lovely collection of many thousands of postmarks, stored in Manila stock pages, separated by province. We counted 73 pages of Saskatchewan, 39 pages of Alberta, 29 pages of Manitoba and a binder containing 11 pages of mixed provinces. We noted all sorts of postmarks including c.d.s., broken circles, MOON, MOTO, POCON, machines, and more. A great lot for the specialist, or a very good start to an exciting and affordable new collecting project. (Image)

We note a wide variety of postmarks including: squared circle, c.d.s. (including some sock on the nose postmarks), R.P.O., flag, broken circle, pocon, slogan forerunners, fancy, etc, with the majority of material appearing to be pre-1950. The lot includes 102 cards with postmarks identified by the owner, along with some albums identified by region. Remittance Envelopes With Maritime Postmarks, 1952-1955, mostly Registered cover fronts, addressed to the Postmaster at Halifax, including remittance receipts, all with town postmarks from New Brunswick or Newfoundland, with a few from Nova Scotia. We note broken circles, cds, and a few R.P.O. postmarks, including small towns from: Newfoundland (Cuslett, Fort Hope Simpson, Gander, Harricott, Deep Bay, Bareneed, Brent's Cove); New Brunswick (Duguayville, Leger Brook, Plaster Rock, Hazeldean, Sunny Corner, Little Cape); Nova Scotia (Lower Sandy Point, Bransfield). Most cover fronts are numbered 45. 200M.-5-4-52 or 45.200M.-17-8-53. An interesting group and ideal for the postmark collector. Online photos show an overview. Strikes of the postmarks are generally strong and readable, with the cover fronts in mixed condition. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
