image 1998 45c Year of the Tiger Private Order Envelope, all being #10-size window envelopes pre-printed with the 45c Year of the Tiger stamp and with an AGF Group of Funds corner card, as well as the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) logo on back, as AGF were a sponsor. There were 4 different inscriptions at the lower right corner of these envelopes, and this lot includes these three: "Important: Contient des renseignments relarifs à l'impôt" (x18 unused), "Important: Tax Information Enclosed" (x19 unused) and "Your Statement of Account is Enclosed" (x2, both used in the two month period where these are known to have been used (Jan-Feb 1998)). Also includes 16 unused English private order postcards (KPX5, cat. $30 each). A timely lot, as 2022 will be the Year of the Tiger. (Image)

image 1998 45c Year of the Tiger Private Order Postcard, a large holding of unused cards in like-new condition, packaged in groups of 100, with 1,959 English (@ $30 each) and 365 French (@ $90 each). These were printed for the AGF Group of Funds to mail out to investment dealers and have a message on back pitching their services and the power of the tiger, which is their company logo. The Webb catalogue quotes the printing numbers at 5,000 for English and 500 for French, so relatively uncommon, especially the French ones, as this lot has over two thirds of the printed French ones. This lot would also appeal to WWF (World Wildlife Fund) enthusiasts, as their logo appears on front and back, as well as to maximum card collectors, dealers, etc. A timely lot, as this coming 2022 will also be the Year of the Tiger.
