image May 1931 Montreal to St John's Newfoundland Unique Flight Cover, on May 17, 1931 pilot D.C. Fraser and mechanic H. Clayton flew from Montreal to St John's, arriving May 19th. This cover was probably the only one carried on this flight and is unreported. It was mailed from Fraser's sister Helen to their father in St John's and the content card reads in part "suddenness of departure given no time to write... historic occasion which we are proud to share...". The C1 Airmail stamp is cancelled by a scarce "NEWF'D P.O. / NORTH SYDNEY / MY 19 / 31" c.d.s. plus another free strike. A very interesting and very fine cover. (Image)

image 1928 Ottawa to Vancouver and Edmonton to Vancouver Flown Covers, Ottawa cover flown Sept. 5, arriving Vancouver Sept. 8. During the Sept. 7 stop in Edmonton 3 or 4 covers were taken on board addressed to prominent persons and carried by the pilot, squadron leader Godfrey. These were signed by him and entered the mails in Vancouver. A very scarce cover. Ottawa cover is also pilot signed and has some minor creasing. Edmonton cover is very fine. (Image)
