image Group of 51 Mint and Used Semi-Official Airmail Issues, 1918-1934, all mint hinged except where noted, and includes CLP2 (c.v. $650, tone spots on gum), CL2, CL3, CL4, CL8, CL8 (n.h. block of 4, separation at top middle selvedge only), CL9, CL11, CL15c (used), CL16i (used), CL40 (x6, n.h. includes a block of 4), CL40 (x7, used, includes a block of 4), CL 41 (x2), CL42 (n.g.), CL43 (n.h.), CL44 (x8, 3 n.h.), CL45 (x2), CL46, CL48 (x3, 1 n.g.), CL50 (x2, 1 n.g.), CL51 (x3 n.g.), CL52, along with four first flight covers franked with CL11, CL42, CL46 and CL48. The lot also includes a CL42 used on piece from a T. Eaton envelope, postmarked at Wernecke APR.18.1928, with a White Horse receiver dated APR.20.1928, along with a block of 4 of the Haileybury-Rouyn 50th Anniversary stamps and a 1959 Baddeck Golden Anniversary label (all not counted). We note water staining on the used CL15c and CL16i (probably from being soaked off the envelopes). A popular collecting area, with all pages scanned online. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
