This was originally the personal property of LCDR Elwood J. Wilson, USNR, Commanding Officer of Military Government Detachment B-101-X. In this capacity, and as Deputy Military Governor of Kume Shima, he authorized the printing and issuing of this provisional postage stamp on October 1st, 1945.
