Mint and Used Collection of People's Republic of China, 1953 to 1972, a very nice and clean collection which is hinged onto album pages, consisting mostly of complete sets of the era, appears to be close to complete in period, noting better items such as Scott #s 506-17 (c.v. $1,485), 542-59 ($1,491), 592-99 ($297), 661-80 ($597), 708-10 ($150), 760-65 ($160), 772-81 ($625), 783-90 ($177), 834-41 ($362), 863/876 ($405),1047-52 ($274), 1054-57 ($348), 1067-1075 (incl. 1074a, $445) and more. The items listed above were catalogued using 2023 Scott values, all others were calculated using an older Scott catalogue value, so the total value we show should be higher. Overall very fine. Collection of Mint and Used People's Republic of China in a Minkus Album, 1949-1990, containing many hundreds of stamps, including a few souvenir sheets. The collection begins with a mix of used and mint hinged stamps including sets and partial sets from the 1950s to the 1960s, with the bulk of the collection being mint, including mint never hinged post 1975 in mounts. We note better stamps including Scott # 938, 951, 953, 955, 966, 988, 990 (all used, c.v. $350 total), along with sets and partial sets cataloguing $20 and higher, including Giant Pandas 1108-1113 (m.h., $219 total), and 1114-1116 (n.h. $59 total). Online scans show a representation of the collection, noting catalogue values for the early stamps were counted as reprints. We note a few faults with the early material, including a few stamps missing perforations. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
