image Large Mint and Used Collection / Accumulation, from Classics to the 2000s, on older album pages and stock pages, in glassines, etc., mostly filling a wine box. This extensive lot spans China, Republic of China and PRC and includes a great deal of postally used PRC. We estimate there to be more than 9,000 stamps in total in this lot; among these we noted numerous better issues, such as China #s 32 (mint c.v. $50), 284-87 (mint c.v. $98), C6-C10 (mint c.v. $104), J13 (mint c.v. $50), J14 (mint c.v. $70) along with PRC #s 661-80 (used c.v. $108), 731 (used c.v. $60), 810-17 (mint c.v. $80), 920-23 (used c.v. $67), 973 (used c.v. $175), two of 998 (used c.v. $50 each), 998 (mint c.v. $225) and 3L82-3L88 (mint c.v. $50). The PRC is especially well represented, with many souvenir sheets, presentation-styled packs from the 1990s, numerous souvenir folders as well as varieties, such as shades and interesting gutter pairs. This powerful lot was accumulated by a Canadian that lived for a time in China and has excellent variety. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

This collection has a fairly impressive level of completion for both China and the Republic of China and includes better stamps such as #s 10 (used c.v. $110), two examples of 11 (used c.v. $140 each), two examples of 12 (used c.v. $120 each), 13 (used c.v. $60), 16 (used c.v. $50), 19 (used c.v. $250), 117 (mint c.v. $50), two examples of 118 (mint c.v. $50 each), 1135-36 (used c.v. $70), 1296-1301 (mint c.v. $100) and 1355-58 (mint c.v. $370). image Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used China including Republic of China and PRChina, 1898-1985, consisting of many hundreds of stamps, including blocks and a few sheets, in four stockbooks and loose material. The lot begins with a few examples of 1898 Chinese Imperial Post, and continues with mint and primarily used Junk and Reaping Rice issues. The strength of lot is from the 1940s to the 1970s with Republic of China issues including Scott #s: 1135-1136 souvenir sheets (mint and used sets, c.v. $214 total). 1355-1358 Emperors set (n.h., c.v. $370 total), 1479-1482 (x2, n.h., c.v. $219 total), 1556-1560 full sheet of 50 (n.h. c.v. $200 total), 1561-1562 blocks of 4 (n.h., $220 total), along with an accumulation of Chinese Paintings sets including mint singles and blocks. The PRC includes a small stockbook of stamps from the 1980s including Scott #1844 souvenir sheet (n.h., c.v. $155). Online photos show a representation of the lot, and in-person viewing could be beneficial for the specialist or dealer. We note a few small faults, overall fine to very fine. (Image)
