Curtis] 8//11/80" and red crayon "Aug 14th 1880"; a small final approval slip is pinned to the upper right corner of the proof with penciled "Appd 16/Aug 80 JHK" [John H. King, secretary, Anglo American Drug Co.]; both approvals are crossed out with green crayon and "5" written above the attached RS67 as well as on the right label of the stamp itself - purpose unknown; also included is a printed form letter dated July 12, 1880, that was sent by Jeremiah Curtis & Sons to its customers acknowledging the transfer of Curtis' Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup to the Anglo American Drug Co.
