image Accumulation of Railway Post Office Cancels on Stamp, from across the country, in a box, consisting of roughly 500x 102 cards, containing 493 different R.P.O. cancels (all identified with Ludlow numbers and accompanying rarity factor) with over 2,900 stamps (on and off paper). The stamps range from Small Queens, Jubilees and up to the 1950s (we note a few Newfoundland items), usually with readable strikes and good centering. The lot includes a detailed 5 page inventory. On average, each 102 card contains 1 to 5 examples of each R.P.O., with some cards containing more. Online photos show an overview of this lot, which is overall fine to very fine and ideal for the R.P.O. specialist. (Image)
