image Italian States, A Very Comprehensive Mint + Used Advanced Collection, 1852-1862. An outstanding collection missing only a very few stamps for completion, mint + used with many signed copies. It begins with Roman States and the two high values, Scott numbers, 10-11 both used signed Buhler. Modena 10 mint appears to be o.g. and 4 margins, 11A mint o.g., PR5 mint o.g. signed Thande and 4 margins, Parma 3 mint signed, 4 looks mint counted as used four margins and signed Buhler, PR1 mint signed four margins, Romagna several signed most have four full margins mint + used, Two Sicilies (Naples) begins with a lovely used four margin 1, 6 used signed, 7 used, 9a used signed Buhler nice copy, Sicily 10 used signed Buhler, Sardinia 1-3 used all signed, Tuscany is well represented. The main collection is the outlined States above and has numerous nice stamps beyond those mentioned. Please review the scans or in-person to appreciate this collection which appears to have been acquired by the collector from Germany intact. The balance of the collection has some auction lots, a stock page of better duplicates and album pages. The condition is somewhat mixed with some faults, however, the main collection was carefully assembled with many nice stamps and as noted a number are expertized. Pricing is interesting as the collector used Stanley Gibbon prices and arrived at £144,279. For the main collection and £28,079 for the duplicates and other material. Certainly, the totals of £172,358 have to be discounted as our estimate reflects. Well worth serious consideration. Shipping charges apply - weight 1 lbs.
