image Civil War letters and covers, collection of transcribed letters in 3-ring binder, most all relating to natives of New Hampshire who served during the Civil War. Many with the owner's write-up about the people and events involved in the letters; includes over fifteen patriotic covers and twelve patriotic letter sheets plus letters on ordinary paper. Letter origins include Fort Jefferson FL, London KY, Carrolton and New Orleans LA, Fort Sumner MD, Raleigh NC, Hilton Head Island, Morris Island and Port Royal SC, Bermuda Hundred, New Chaffins Farm, and Laurel Hill VA. Most all of the letters are from enlisted men which gives a good idea of what life was like for the soldiers., Fine lot.

image Miscellaneous Civil War related covers, Selection of over twenty-five covers mounted on index cards; includes two franked with 1¢ blue (Scott 63), fourteen franked with 3¢ rose (Scott 65) with various Military related addresses or origin, two with "Miamiville P.O Camp Dennison O." town markings, five with various corner cards (Adjutant General's Office (2), Soldiers Mission, Provost Marshall, and two postal stationery items, also includes eight Vermont covers used between 1865 and 1920 (one East Clarendon Springs and one 1895 Ricker Mills - both Helbock rarity 5); few stamp/cover flaws otherwise, Fine to Very Fine.
