image Hejaz & Nejd, The Pre-Kingdom Collection, 1916-27. Even Abd al-Aziz recognized the power to be projected through stamps; a lovely array of early Saudi issues, from the 1916-18 Hejaz issues on; exceptionally fresh and well-centered, with overprints and cancels that look like they should; we note a mint gold-overprinted Caliph set, 1925 ¼Pi green with double overprint (one inverted), a range of "Hijazi Government" overprints in each color, Nejd overprints on Ottoman issues (many tied on piece by blue Mecca c.d.s.'s, 1925 "Arab Government" overprints (most mint, two tied by Mecca postmarks), plus Caliph issues, 1926-27 Tughra issues, Postage Dues, etc., Fine to Very Fine with much better, definitely worth careful inspection, material rarely found this nice.
