image British Africa, An Outstanding Collection of Mainly Mint High-End Set, 1863-1989. A lovely collector assembled holding of primarily mint with several hundred sets & singles and souvenir sheets with better items mounted on black vario stock pages with Stanley Gibbons numbers noted and ready for immediate resale with the balance in glassines by set and also S.G. numbered. The value is in the key issues from all reigns, also a fair amount of N.H. is present especially in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II issues. A large number of sets to the £1 or to the highest value are noted in excellent quality that are always in demand. Countries included are: Bechuanaland, Kenya, Uganda, Tanganyika, Basutoland, Niger Coast Protectorate, British East Africa, South-West Africa. Sudan, Cape of Good Hope with only one 3 margin mint triangle, Swaziland, Somaliland Protectorate, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Rhodesia. We also note varieties and some modern material, however the emphasis is on key pieces without the usual 19th century dogs. This is a clean, totally usable collection. Condition is primarily Fine to Very Fine. We note a few faults but very few. Shipping charges apply - weight 4.4 lbs.

image British Africa, Mint & Used Collection with Exceptional Seychelles, Lagos, Cape of Good Hope & Others, 1853-1992, Lots of highlights in this one starting off with an incredible, seemingly complete collection of Seychelles up to 1976 consisting of a mix of mint and used, in some cases both, along with a few blocks and covers for good measure. Better include mint #4a, 12a, 14-18, 20-21 (specimen overprints), 29-37, 38-48, 52-62, 63-73, 79-89, 91-114, 142-44, 152 (corner margin block), 157-71, 173-90, and used 20-21, 26, 151-52 (on cover). This same volume has some really nice Cape of Good Hope triangles, but that's nothing compared to a Palo album with a multiple-page onslaught of the three-sided marvels. Notated with S.G. number as identified by the collector covering various listed shades, here are the Scott equivalents: used 1-2, 1f, 3a, 4 (pair), 4b, 5, 5a (pair), 5b, 6a, 7, 12, 12a, 12b, 13, 13a (with cert), 13b, 14-15. Plenty more in this and the other Palo volume, such as complete mint Rhodesia & Nyasaland, excellent Gold Coast, and some astonishing Lagos including used 1-6, 6a, 7-12, 13-27, 29-34, 40-47, 58, and duplicate pages for mint with an additional set of pages for specimen overprints. And it doesn't end there, as there is an entire Lighthouse album of Nigeria (1914-89), mostly mint and nearly complete with such premium mint as 1-11, 31-32, 38-49, 74 (block), 80-91, and a separate binder for the issues of Biafra. Last but not least, a mixed mint & used collection of the entire continent in a Minkus album from Ascension to Zululand with better sets & singles here too. A powerful collection for the serious collector, generally Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 28 lbs. (PDF for this Lot) (Video for this lot) (Video2 for this lot) (Image)
