AN EXTREMELY RARE ON COVER USAGE OF THE 1923 2¢ HARDING ISSUE WITH SCHERMACK TYPE III PERFORATIONS - ONE OF AT LEAST SEVEN RECORDED ON COVER USAGES.
Includes a copy of a October 23, 1924 letter from the Mail-o-Meter Company stating…"In response to your inquiry, please be advised that we did perforate a few two cent Harding stamps, the exact amount, however, I cannot say. as our records are not clear regarding the various issues which are perforated and reeled by the Schermack method." with a memo below by Karl Koslowski who addressed this cover and was the one who discovered the rare 1908 4¢ issue with Schermack type III perfs.
