1876 (1 Nov) FL from Salonique to Marseille, franked with 15c bister rose (error of color), used together with strip of 4x5c green, all canceled by "Salonique Turq. D'Europe" departure pmks, with red "Paquebots de la Mediterannee" at upper right, Marseille arrival pmk on back, rare usage of the color error, the sender mistakenly considered the 15c being the same color as the required 10c franking, with 2012 Behr certificate stating that this letter is the only one known franked with 15c error from a French Office abroad.
