Rare letter date-lined General Post Office, Fredericton 7 Jan 1859 to the LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR. The letter is reference to the Post Office Regulations for New Brunswick for 1858. Charles Connell was Postmaster General of New Brunswick & had a stamp issued with his portrait (Scott #5) causing a great scandal. A nice collateral item for the New Brunswick collector (Image)
