Welcome to our March 23rd auction with over 6,900 lots to choose from. 2022 is our 50th year of auctions! We hope that you will enjoy browsing through Sale #355. Make sure that you don't miss the following:
  • Excellent section of classic 19th Century Canada with Pence, Cents, Jubilees, Large and Small Queens, Leaf and Numerals. There are many scarcer items here including imperforate pairs, multiples, proofs and varieties.
  • Trans-Atlantic ship covers from the 19th Century including Forwarding Agent covers, interesting postmarks, rates, and destinations.
  • A nice section of China including many better PRC sets, souvenir sheets, Monkey stamp, etc.
  • Good group of Falkland Islands including the scarce shade of the Five Shilling Penguin mint (Scott #74a) and some scarce War Tax covers (one of which is used from South Georgia in 1919).
  • Excellent world postal history including many nice airmail and Zeppelin covers, illustrated and advertising covers.
  • Extensive section of Canadian Semi-Official Airmails with singles, complete sheets, and First Flight covers. The Patricia Airways and Western Canada Airways are particularly strong.
  • United States with many key 19th Century classics with Certificates. There are two different scarce Confederate States sheets.
  • Hundreds of larger lots including collections, accumulations, box lots and dealer stocks.
Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EDT on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #354 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, March 26th.
