Welcome to our January 26th auction with over 7,300 lots to choose from. 2022 is our 50th year of auctions, and we are pleased to be starting it off with such a great sale. We hope that you will enjoy browsing through it. Make sure that you don't miss the following:

  • Terrific section of 19th Century Canada with Pence, Cents, Large and Small Queens, and Jubilees to $5. One of the highlights is an unused #13 with Certificate.
  • United States with many scarce 19th Century singles and blocks, plus Shanghai Plate Blocks, Hawaii and Confederate items.
  • Further portions of the Trans-Atlantic mail exhibition collection still on the original pages.
  • Excellent Br. Commonwealth singles and sets from A-Z including strong sections of Bermuda, Ceylon, Ascension, Australia, The Rhodesias and New Zealand.
  • An exceptional section of Great Britain covers and postcards. The Victorian section contains scarce destinations and rates.
  • Over 1,700 larger size lots including collections, stocks, accumulations, boxes and even multi-volume sorter lots.
  • An extensive assortment of Canada Semi-Official Airmails with stamps, flight covers and complete sheets.
  • France postcards with many nice early aviation items and WWI related.
  • Further lots from the Maddy's Philatelic Service stock that will suit both dealers and collectors.
Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EST on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #354 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, January 29th.
