Scott 800, 801), ten examples of each, with Dr. Sun Yat-sen Third Shanghai Dah Tung printing $50,000 deep blue block of four and pair (Chan 1088. (10.16) via Shanghai (9.9) and San Francisco (10.12); a few faults/defects to be expected for such a large and spectacular franking, Fine to Very Fine,

This commemorative set was issued on August 16, having been designed in early 1948 to conform with the then-current rates. By the time it was issued, the foreign mail rates had increased by 1000% and then doubled again on August 21. Therefore, the Steam Navigation issue is hardly known used on commercial covers.
