2099 ng imageOfficial, 1945, 3-1/3t (5 shokang) brown red, with sheet margin at right (8-10mm), cut along outer frameline, without gum as issued, Fine to Very Fine, ex Elling O. Eide, with 2005 Geoffrey Flack photo opinion,

A very rare stamp, of which only five or six examples have been recorded.

According to Wolfgang Hellrigl (China Clipper, Sept. 1986): "There is no shadow of a doubt in my mind that this 'stamp' actually forms part of the set of 'Officials', too great are the affinities with the basic 5 values…. I have seen three or four copies of the 3-1/3t (5 shokang)—all different shades, apparently cut from a single sheet."
